Spend a day exploring Mikumi Park in search of wild animals during your stay in Zanzibar!
Located in southern Tanzania, Mikumi National Park is the 3rd largest park in the country at over 1200 square miles.
Famous for its biodiversity, it is one of the parks where the chances of encountering four of the Big Five (elephants, buffalo, lions and leopards) are the highest.
A driver will collect you directly from your hotel and take you to the airport. After a flight of around 1 hour, you will arrive close to the park.
Your safari will then begin when you climb aboard an open-top vehicle to try and spot as many animals as possible. The area is a major migration zone, making it a prime location for observing different species of animals.
As the park is surrounded by the Uluguru and Rubeho mountains, you will move through a magnificent landscape throughout your day, interspersed by waterfalls.
During your safari day, you will have a 1-hour picnic lunch inside the park.
You will catch your return flight at the end of the day and be driven back to your hotel in Zanzibar.
