Description

Climb aboard a gondola and set off to explore Venice by the city's most authentic mode of transport!

Explore the canals of the city from the relaxing and unique vantage point of a gondola, as done by the inhabitants of Venice for over 1,000 years. 

Admire the buildings and the monuments of the City of Doges from the water as you are carried through the labyrinth of Venetian canals.

A real immersion in this magical city's history, as well its mysterious and romantic atmosphere.

Good to know

  • Availability: every day (excluding exceptional dates)
  • Departure point: close to Saint Mark's Square, in front of Museo Correr’s Entrance, on your left, at the Post Office.
    Our assistant will wait for you with a signboard in which is written “GONDOLA TOUR". The gondolier’s station is 2 minutes walking from the meeting point

  • Times: note that for the 10 a.m. and 3:20 p.m. times (available from April to November), there is no guide on board the gondola, a multilingual audio app to download (free) is available

  • Please, be at the meeting point 15 minutes before the departure time.
  • This is not a guided tour (no commentary)
  • This activity is not private – the gondola will be shared with other participants
  • The maximum capacity of a gondola is 5 people
  • The seating plan for the gondola cannot be arranged in advance and will be determined by the gondolier according to the weight of passengers
  • Please note that gondola rides are subject to cancellation in the event of strikes or bad weather conditions (in these cases, it can be postponed the days after otherwise it will be refunded)
  • The time includes pickup, getting seated in the gondola, the tour, and the drop off at the meeting point at the end of the tour
  • Unfortunately, this tour is not fully accessible for wheelchair users or people with walking disabilities
