Discover the island of Murano, known for its glass art and the island of Burano with its colourful fishermen's houses!
Your guide will wait for you at the meeting point in Venice, to embark the boats that will take you to the islands of Murano and Burano. You will enjoy the guide's anecdotes and commentary during the cruise.
Your first stop will be on the island of Murano. The island is known for its glass art creations. During this visit, you can watch a glass-blowing demonstration in a furnace to see how these works of art are made. If you wish, you can buy some of the creations on display as souvenirs to take home. Don't leave the island without visiting the Basilica of Santi Maria e Donato dating back to the 7th century A.D.
Then embark by boat, towards the island of Burano. This island is recognisable from afar thanks to its colourful dwellings. These colours enabled fishermen returning from their day's work to find their homes more quickly, even in the fog. The island is also famous for its embroidery. During this break, wander through the colourful streets of the island and enjoy its traditional, picturesque charm.
On your return cruise to Venice, you will enjoy the charm of the natural landscapes you will have the opportunity to see.
