Dive into the heart of Spanish history and discover three unique cities, all UNESCO World Heritage Sites!
You will meet your guide in the early morning in the centre of Madrid for a day trip to discover 3 treasures of Spain's cultural heritage: Toledo, Segovia, and Ávila.
You'll make an initial stop at Toledo. Situated on the banks of the Tagus, it has a long and rich history, dating back to Roman times. The capital of Spain for centuries, it was a real cultural crossroads and place where Christians, Jews and Muslims lived alongside each other. This rich cultural diversity is evident as you stroll through the narrow, picturesque streets of the old town. Accompanied by your guide, you will explore its main monuments: the Cathedral, the second largest in Spain, the Alcázar, the former royal palace, and the Synagogue. Your guide will recommend one of the best viewpoints over the city to take some fantastic photos.
The excursion continues with a trip to Ávila, another historic city located north of Toledo and Madrid. It is renowned for the millennia-old wall that surrounds it, with its virtually intact ramparts among the best preserved in the world. Still in the company of your guide, you'll stroll along the ramparts, listening to their explanations and anecdotes, and enjoying a breathtaking view of the city. You'll be awestruck by Ávila Cathedral, one of the largest in Spain.
At the end of your visit, and depending on the option chosen, you can have lunch in a local restaurant in the old town, and enjoy a "traditional Iberian meal". Otherwise, you'll have some free time to eat, so don't hesitate to ask your guide for recommendations!
Finally, you'll reach the last stop of your day, Segovia. From its historic centre, you'll walk towards the city's iconic monuments and landmarks: the Plaza Mayor, its Roman aqueduct, one of Spain's iconic monuments, Segovia Cathedral, the city's old quarter and finally the majestic Alcázar. You'll have free time to explore the city on your own before heading back to Madrid.
