After a short drive, you'll reach the archaeological site of Herculaneum, a Roman town buried by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD, just like its neighbor.C., just like its neighbor Pompeii. Less crowded, Herculaneum offers a more peaceful atmosphere in which to explore the remains of a city frozen in time.

Thanks to your audio headset, you'll comfortably follow your guide's explanations as he recounts the daily life of Herculaneum's inhabitants before the catastrophe. You'll learn more about the town's history, Roman construction techniques and the excavations carried out by archaeologists.
The guided tour will be given in groups of no more than 30 people, with headphones to easily follow your guide's explanations.
After exploring the site, you'll catch the bus for the return journey to Sorrento.
