Description

Visit the Carthusian Monastery in Seville, the oldest in Andalousia!

You will start your tour by visiting the gardens and orchards where you will see the collection of fruit trees imported from America.

You will then pass through the monastery's doors. Transformed into today's Andalousian Centre of Contemporary Art, the monastery has experienced many different shifts and changes over its 6 centuries of existence. It has been frequented by numerous figures, notably Christopher Colombus who, here, prepared his second voyage to America.

You will visit the majestic Chapter Rooms and its crypts, then you will enter in the main cloiter and admire its famous fireplaces. The Carthusian Monastery became famous for its pottery production, in fact, its name comes from the porcelain crockery that is made there.
