Description

Enjoy a fun filled day visiting Alcatraz and discovering Muir Woods and Sausalito near San Francisco!

Departing from Union Square, cross over the Golden Gate Bridge and head for Muir Woods National Park, famous for its giant sequoias. Visitors will have a chance to walk for a bit, before hopping back on the bus and heading to Sausalito, a charming fishing village. After some free time in Sausalito, you will return to San Francisco at the end of the morning.

In the afternoon, board the ferry for Alcatraz, one of San Francisco's most famous sites. Departing from Pierr 33, the ferry takes you straight to the island, where you'll have a chance to visit an your own pace, and learn more about the history of the former prison thanks to the audio guide.

  • This activity quickly sells out in summer (June to September), sometimes several months in advance. Please book as soon as possible.
  • Estimated duration of the audio tour: approximately 1? hours. You are free to take the ferry back to San Francisco whenever you wish. There is no set return time.
  • Ferry journey time: approximately 15 to 20 minutes per trip
