In one day fly over San Francisco in a helicopter and discover its emblematic landmarks from the sky as well as visit the famous island of Alcatraz!

A shuttle will take you from central San Francisco to the heliport, where this exceptional sightseeing tour will begin. You’ll take off in a helicopter for an unforgettable tour of the city, equipped with a headset that enables you to communicate with the pilot and other passengers.

Soft music is played throughout the flight, while you soar above San Francisco’s must-see sites including Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz Prison Island and Bay Bridge. You'll also see the distinct districts of the city center such as Chinatown, the Financial District, and Fisherman’s Wharf.

Good to know

  • IMPORTANT INFO FOR ALCATRAZ: your voucher to Alcatraz with roundtrip ferry will be given after the helicopter flight. The visit to Alcatraz will be the same day between 12:10pm and 13:50pm, with the exact hour cnfirmed on your ticket. It is not possible to know the time in advance, visitors are therefore asked to not schedule other activities then
  • You willl be dropped off near Pier 33 at least 30 minutes before departure 
  • Proof of identity is required to take part in this activity, and will be requested upon your arrival
  • The Alcatraz tour fills up quickly between June and September, sometimes months in advance. We therefore advsie you to book as early as possible
  • Estimated time on the island: approx 1 hour 30 minutes, with the audio guide. You may take the ferry back to San Franciso whenever you are ready.
  • The ferry journey takes 15-20 minutes each way
  • Audio guides are available in English, Spanish, Japanese, Corean, German, French, Portuguese, Italian, Chinese, and Rusian
  • The site is closed on Thanksgiving, december 25, and January 1

 

  • The helicopter flight lasts 20 minutes
  • Departure time: 10:3am, shuttle pickup in central San Francisco at 10am
  • Departure: the Shuttle will stop at Fisherman's Wharf, Nob Hill, and he Financial District/Union Square. The exact address will be on the voucher. It will also take you to Alcatraz after the flilght
  • All communication with the pilot will be in English
  • Proof of ID is required to take part in this activity
  • The flight is subject to cancelation in the event of bad weather conditions or insufficient participants – you will be offered a refund or an alternative date should this happen.
  • Children under 2 years of age cannot take part in this tour
  • In order to guarantee a good view for all, each helicopter will take a maximum of 6 passengers. Places will be allocated upon arrival according to the different weights of passengers
  • Bulky bags will not be permitted onboard the helicopter
