Description

Go in search of the northern lights with a professional photographer and enjoy a barbecue around a campfire!

You'll be transferred from your accommodation in Rovaniemi or directly from our partner's agency (depending on the option you choose), and head for the remote forests of Lapland. Escaping light pollution, you'll cover between 20 and 100 kilometers, following the advice of your professional driver-guide.

You'll reach an ideal spot for observing the northern lights, and set up camp for the evening. Cold-weather gear will be provided, and you'll follow your guide across the snow-covered plateaus surrounding your camp.

During this walk through the forest, you'll have the opportunity to make several stops and listen to the silence that surrounds you. You'll be amazed by the experience! Finally, if you're lucky and the weather cooperates, you'll get to see the famous aurora borealis in the sky. This amazing green wave is the result of a meteorological phenomenon that is unique in the world.

A professional photographer will be on hand to teach you how to set up your camera and take the most beautiful shots possible. He'll also be on hand to take photos of you to immortalize the moment.

After this experience, you'll return to your camp and enjoy a Lappish barbecue around a campfire. You'll taste reindeer sausages and hot blueberry juice, a Lapland staple. It's also an opportunity to share a convivial moment, learn more about the Sami (the people who live in Lapland) and ask any questions you may have.

You'll be driven back to Rovaniemi after an unforgettable evening in the heart of Lapland.
