Visit the Lampivaaran amethyst mines in the middle of winter!

Set out to discover Europe's only remaining amethyst mine, nestled in the snow-capped mountains of Lapland. After a transfer in a special vehicle adapted to winter conditions, you'll reach the Lampivaara hill, where the mine is located. There, you'll have the opportunity to learn about the fascinating history of this precious crystal, used for centuries for its protective and aesthetic virtues.

You'll then have the chance to enter the mine and discover how amethysts are extracted from the rock. Armed with a small tool, you can even search for and take home an amethyst you've extracted with your own hands! Throughout the visit, you'll enjoy an impressive panorama of Lapland's forests and mountains, offering a splendid view, especially under the white coat of winter.

The excursion will end with a convivial moment over a hot blueberry juice and a sandwich, the perfect opportunity to ask all your questions and warm up before heading back down to the valley.
