Description

Departing from Rome, head off on a superb tour of Positano, the Gulf of Naples and the  Amalfi Coast

You'll hop on a morning train from Rome's main railway station and head to Naples. You guide will meet you when you arrive in Naples, where you'll board a people-carrier tour.

You'll then head to the Gulf of Naples, passing Mount Vesuvius and lemon tree orchards along the way. There will be a quick stop in Campania, so you can take plenty of Insta-worthy snaps.

The Amalfi coast is famous for its hilltop villages and UNESCO-classified landscapes You'll get to see plenty of these towns, perched at 1,000m above sea level,  as if clinging to the mountain directly above the sea's turquoise waters.

Your guide will then take you on a tour of Positano. You'll stroll around its typical colourful houses,  narrow alleyways, cafesé, restaurants... This former fishing village' produces the country's best limoncello!

Afterwards, you'll hit the road again and go to the medieval town of Amalfi. You'll love the town's unique architecture and the Duomo Cathedral. You'll have some free time to enjoy a stroll and have lunch in  a typical restaurant (lunch not included).

You'll then head off to the mountains to visit a specialist buffalo mozzarella cheesemonger. Enjoy a tasting of this national speciality. You'll learn how mozzarella is made and also sample other regional cheese such as Caciocavallo.

Towards the end of the day, you'll return to Naples in time to catch your train back to Rome.
