You will visit the Botanical Garden, created in 1817, which has a huge number of species of tropical plants, such as imperial palms and giant waterlilies. The garden was named a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in 1992. Then you will enter Tijuca forest in a Jeep and will stop off at the Vista Chinesa (Chinese viewpoint) which gives a splendid view over the Ipanema and Copacabana beaches, and of the Sugarloaf.
During a half-hour trek you will have the chance to see species of monkeys, birds and butterflies native to an Atlantic forest climate (Mata Atlantica), as you pass by the Cascatinha (Taunay waterfall) and the Capela Mayrink (Mayrink Chapel).
