Description
The hike up the Pedra da Gávea is one of our most incredible routes. Thrillseekers, this one is perfect for you!
The trip up the mountain takes approximates 2.5 hours, during which you will walk along the edge of steep precipices and will make a 15-metre climb. From the top of the Pedra da Gávea, the views of Tijuca forest, Christ the Redeemer, the Sugarloaf and the Rodrigo de Freitas lagoon are truly unbelievable.
Good to know
- Validity: every day (except 24th, 25th December and 1st January)
- Duration: 7 hours (2.5 hours walking)
- Departure time: 6am. A shuttle will collect you from your hotel.
- This hike is rated 'advanced' and involves a short climb
- You are advised to wear light clothing and walking shoes, and to bring a backpack with water, a snack, sun cream and a hat.
- To take part in this activity you will need to present your voucher to the tour operator on the day.
- The date of the trip is subject to change according to the weather conditions.
- You will need to phone the service provider once you are in Rio in order to arrange the exact time and place of your hotel pick-up. Your hotel reception can make this call. The number will be on your voucher.

No charges will be levied for cancellations made more than 7 days before the date of the activity (excluding special dates). After this, the following charges will be levied:
Between 7 and 4 days prior: 50% of the price
After this time and in case of a no-show: 100% of the price
Any reservation made for special dates cannot be cancelled, modified or refunded.
