Description

Travel to the top of Bob’s Peak and enjoy an exceptional view over the lake and mountains in Queenstown! 

1. Access the summit of Bob’s Peak on the Skyline Gondola

Climb aboard the famous Skyline Gondola, the steepest cable car in the southern hemisphere! This breathtaking ride terminates at the Skyline complex at the top of Bob’s Peak, high above the city of Queenstown. Enjoy exceptional views with a unique vista over Coronet Peak, the Remarkables mountain chain and Lake Wakatipu.

2. Luge descent from the summit of Bob’s Peak (optional)

Daring travellers can also find thrills on their way back down from Bob's Peak! If you book the luge option, you will get the chance to board a three-wheeled luge with a single braking and steering system. You will then hurtle down a twisting and winding track with incredible views over the lake and mountains! There are two routes to choose from: the scenic route or the steep route. Both feature stop-off points so that you can take some stunning photos!

To return to Queenstown, you can take the gondola or walk down the mountain paths on foot.

  • Return Gondola Ride + 3 Luge Descents: As well as riding the Gondola to the top of Bobb's Peak, you will ride down the mountain in a luge on one of the 2 tracks (scenic or steep)

  • Time: the cable car and luge tracks are oprn from 10am to 7pm
  • To take part in this activity, simply present your voucher at the cable car entrance
  • Access to the summit of Bob's Peak via the Gondola is free for children under 5 years who can sit on their parent's lap
