Discover the history Eastern State Penitentiary in Philadelphia, where Al Capone was imprisoned!
Equipped with your audio guide, enjoy this non-guided tour of the medieval style prison built in the 19th century. Quite a few famous prisoners have been incarcerated here, including the Chicago gangster Al Capone- visitors can see lavishly decorated cell where he stayed for 8 months in 1929.
Walk through the deserted hallways of the prison, and learn not only about it's history but also the role of the judiciary stystem in the US. Closed since 1970, Eastern State Penitentiary opened to visitors in 1988.
