Your minibus will collect you from your hotel in the afternoon.
Situated in the heart of Paris between the Seine's Rive Droite (Right Bank) and the Rue de Rivoli, the Louvre Museum is home to a timeless collection of cosmopolitan works of art.
Seeing the priceless treasures housed within the Louvre is a unique cultural experience. Your trip to this institution of art will introduce you to some of the most important masterpieces and artefacts in the world.
The tour is conducted by a qualified guide, who will supply you with the context and background of the different exhibits.
In the middle of Napoleon's courtyard, you will discover I.M. Pei's glass pyramid, commissioned by François Mitterand in 1983. You will then be shown three of the Louvre's most precious masterpieces: the "Venus de Milo", a Grecian sculpture discovered on the island of Milo in 1820; Leonardo da Vinci's must-see "Mona Lisa" and her mysterious smile; and the "Consecration of the Emperor Napoleon I" by Jacques-Louis David.
After your tour, you will have the chance to use your ticket (valid for the whole day) to visit the other collections independently; this includes access to all temporary exhibitions (except those in the Napoleon Hall), as well as to the Eugene Delacroix collection.
