Explore the key sites in the Allies' fight for freedom! This historic tour will take you from the war memorial and museum at Caen to Arromanches. Discover the beautiful Normandy beaches and find out more about the significant role they played in WWII.

Between June and August 1944, the Normandy region was the stage of the Battle of Normandy, which enabled the Allied Forces to open a second front in the fight against German soldiers in Europe. This tour brings to life the events that shaped the history of this decisive conflict.

A minibus will collect you from your hotel in Paris and drive you to Caen. Once arrived, you will visit Caen Memorial and a museum based around theme of peace. The museum's film-screenings and audio guide will enable you to broaden your knowledge of this historical period.

After the museum, you will have lunch at the Memorial site before setting out for the Normandy landing beaches.

The coach will stop at the Pointe du Hoc, which was the setting for an important offensive on June 6 1944. Next, you will head to the Saint Laurent cemetery which overlooks Omaha Beach, where the Allied forces suffered their heaviest losses. There you will find the names of some 1,557 soldiers whose bodies were never found, listed on the imposing memorial structure in the 'Garden of the Missing'; and the row of ten stone memorial tablets which mark the final resting place of 9,386 American soldiers.

You will then stop at Arromanches, the Allies' artificial 'Mulberry' harbor, before visiting Juno Beach, near to the Canadian Memorial.

At the end of the day, you will be driven back to Paris and dropped off at your hotel.
