Good to know


  • ATTENTION: the Colosseum, the Vatican Museums, the Borghese Gallery and Castel Sant'Angelo have very limited availability and are very busy!
  • Validity: every day (depending on the site)
  • Your pass is valid for 72 hours from first use. For example, if you use your pass for the first time on Monday at 4pm, your pass will be valid until Thursday at 3:59pm.
  • Opening hours: As a guide, museums and archaeological sites are generally open from 10am to 6pm. Please check opening times in advance.
  • Please note Once you have made your reservation, you will receive a voucher with a QR code by e-mail. Once there, to collect your Pass, you will need to hand in this voucher at one of the collection points listed.
  • You'll be asked to specify a start date for the use of your pass, but please note that the validity of your 72-hour pass begins on the first use (but cannot exceed 12 months). Even if you buy your pass today, you'll be able to use it whenever you like during your stay.
  • You have one year from the date of purchase to activate and use your pass.
  • You'll need to book your time to visit the Colosseum and the Borghese Gallery, either online or by telephone (€2 charge for the Colosseum), with full details on your voucher. We advise you to do this before your stay, as availability is very limited.
  • ATTENTION: We advise you to book your visit to the Colosseum, the Borghese Gallery and the Vatican Museums AS SOON AS POSSIBLE before you leave (especially in high season - Easter, school vacations), as availability is not guaranteed and is very limited. These monuments are subject to very high demand! 
  • You will need to show your Pass Rome or your Omnia Card at the entrance to these monuments. Please make sure you have them with you, as well as your vouchers and confirmations at the time of your visit.
  • You'll need to present valid photo ID for at least one member of your group at most of the monuments visited.
  • For the Sistine Chapel and the Vatican Museums, you will be asked to specify a visit date. You won't be able to visit them without first booking a time slot with our local partner.
  • The following monuments also require a reservation: St. Peter's Basilica, Mamertine Prison or Carcer Tullianum, National Museum Castel Sant'Angelo
  • The Roman subway is generally open between 5:30 a.m. and 11:30 p.m. on weekdays, and until 1:30 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
  • The transport card does not include travel to and from the city's airports.
  • The Vatican cannot be visited on days of religious celebration
  • St. Peter's Basilica is difficult to access for tourists on Wednesdays, during the papal audience, and on Sundays, during the papal blessing.
  • Backpacks, suitcases and bulky bags are not allowed inside the Colosseum.
  • The multi-stop bus pass is valid for 72 hours, and the bus service operates from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • The Rome and Vatican Pass does not include access to temporary museum exhibitions.
  • Each monument and activity can only be visited/performed once.
  • When visiting the Vatican, please remember that sleeveless or knee-length clothing is not permitted, nor are flip-flops or any other garment that might be considered inappropriate.
  • Admission to St. Peter's Basilica is free, but waiting times can be long.
  • The Sistine Chapel is only accessible via the Vatican Museum.
  • Free admission: the museums are free to all (locals and tourists) on the first Sunday of every month. Reservations are not possible on this day.
  • People with reduced mobility or disabilities (over 74%) and their companions can enter most monuments and sites in Rome and the Vatican free of charge. Please check the admission policy of each monument you wish to visit for details.
  • The Children's Pass is valid from 6 to 17 years of age. It does not include the Roma Pass or the transport card, but gives access to all the attractions included in the Omnia Card. Most museums included in the Roma Pass are free for under-18s, and public transport in Rome is free for children under 10. Please check the admission policy for each monument you wish to visit.
  • Due to new security regulations at the Colosseum, airport-style controls have been introduced. It is therefore possible that a queue may form when you pass through security.
  • Practical information: 
  • The booklet accompanying the Pass is in English and Italian.
  • Please note: your pass must be collected directly from the collection point indicated on your voucher.
  • Once the reservation has been made, you will receive a voucher with QR code by e-mail. Once on site, to collect your Pass, you'll need to hand in this voucher at one of the collection points mentioned above.
  • The Rome Pass includes free entry to 2 monuments. The free admission applies to the first 2 museums visited with the pass. For example: if you book a visit to the Borghese Gallery, but decide to visit the Capitoline Museums and Castel Sant'Angelo first, you will receive free admission to the Capitoline Museums and Castel Sant'Angelo only, and will have to pay preferential admission to the Borghese Gallery.
  • The Vox City guide is in digital format, to be downloaded via a mobile application. 
  • The Pass is in the form of : 1 OMNIA Card (monuments) + 1 multi-stop bus + 1 Roma Pass (including a transport card), 1 booklet, 1 map of Rome

  • The Rome and Vatican Pass is non-transferable

  • Bonjour, je suis très déçu de cette prestation et je ne ka recommanderai a personne. En effet lorsque j'ai voulu réserver mes places pour le Vatican je n'y suis jamais arrivé. Je vous écrit mais la seule réponse a été que je devais attendre d'être sur place. Bien évidemment sur place on m'a dit que je n'avais pas réservé donc il n'y avait plus de place .... Je suis scandalise et déçu de m'être fait bluffer... Vous devriez faire au moins un geste car je ne sais pas si vous avez un moyen de vérifier mais je n'ai pas pu faire les attractions. ...

    En effet, les réservations pour le Vatican sont rapidement indisponibles en raison d'une forte demande. Cette information est bien mentionnée sur notre descriptif. Nous ne pouvons malheureusement pas garantir la disponibilité.

  • 3 jours et demi à ROME pour la première fois. Le pass à 129 euros contient TROP d'éléments pour tous les faire en si peu de temps. Je NE recommande PAS DU TOUT. En détail : nous avons pu visiter les musées du Vatican mais pas la Basilique Saint Pierre ( file d'attente de + 2 heures , même en ayant réservé à l'avance) . Le Carcer Tullianum ferme à 16h30 , donc pas visité. Le bus Hop-on Hop-Off est lent, s'arrête trop longtemps à chaque arrêt. Nous l'avons testé une seule fois. Cela a suffit! Le seul jour où nous avons réussi à réserver pour le Colisée , il pleuvait fortement sans cesse. Il nous était difficile d'apprécier ce colosse, nos pensées revenant sans cesse vers un chocolat chaud ! Les visites que nous avons le + apprécié n'étaient pas dans ce pass . Il s'agit du Palazzo Massimo et des termes Di Diocleziano.

    Le pass Rome propose en effet une multitude de visites, d'entrées aux Musées et d'autres prestations afin de s'adapter aux envies de chacun. Nous préconisons de faire un programme afin de sélectionner les activités souhaitées sur place.
    En effet, il est impossible de tout faire sur un séjour dans la mesure où cette destination regorge de lieux, de musées et de tout autre visite.

    Nous sommes navrés qu'il ait plu durant votre visite du Colisée, la météo étant malheureusement un facteur que Ceetiz ne peut pas anticiper.

    Concernant le Hop On Hop Off, le but est de découvrir de manière large la ville et les arrêts sont multiples afin de permettre aux clients de monter et descendre à leur aise.

    Nous espérons que vous avez tout de même apprécié la découverte de Rome.
