Located across from Central Park, the American Museum of Natural History is a must see for any visitor to New York City. Discover one the largest and most informative museums in the world with 40 exhibition rooms showcasing 32 million specimen and cultural objects!

Enter the incredible “Rose Center for Earth and Space” to find out all about the universe or explore the deep blue sea at the “Milstein Hall of Ocean Life”. You will also have the opportunity to watch a film in 3D at the museum’s IMAX cinema or enjoy the “Dark Universe” space show at the Hayden Planetarium (not included in the standard ticket).


When making your reservation, please choose from one of the following options:

  • Museum only: This ticket allow you access to the Museum and the Rose Center for Earth and Space. (no add-ons)
  • Museum + 1 add-on: Entrance to the Museum, the Rose Center for Earth and Space and 1 add-on  of your choice (planetarium space show OR IMAX film OR temporary exhibition).
  • Super Saver: See everything ! Entrance to the Museum, the Rose Center for Earth and Space, the planetarium space show, the Giant screen film in 3D and all special exhibitions.

  • Duration: Varies (advised duration between 3 to 4 hours)
  • Opening Times: 10:00am to 5:45pm

  • To participate in this activity, please present your voucher at any desk in the Museum
  • Please note that ticket are open dated. Despite the fact you will be asked to choose a principle date during your reservation, your ticket will be valid for up to 6 months after the chosen date.
  • The Space Shows presentations take place every 30 minutes.
  • The IMAX screenings are programmed every hour from 10:30am to 4:30pm.
  • We advise you to visit the museum before midday on the weekend, when it is not as crowded.
  • A cloakroom is available for coats, umbrellas and bags in the Theodore Roosevelt Rotunda and in the Rose Center.
  • Free tours of the exhibitions halls are available every day in English (every hour from 10:15am to 3:15pm).

  • Impressionnant, il faut quasiment une journée pour faire le tour du musée, les mises en situation des animaux est juste magnifique.

  • Il semble qu il manque une information sur le billet car il a fallu deux personnes et un peu de temps d attente afin qu il soit compris que le billet était réglé. Sinon pour nous OK

  • Énorme dans tous les sens du terme. C'est un immense musée d'une très grande richesse et qui est particulièrement complet: depuis les premiers dinosaures (squelettes et explications au top !) et les transformations des différentes formes de vie sur terre; la vie animale sous toutes ses formes; les écosystèmes; les différentes cultures leur histoire et leur évolution... Pour qui veut tout voir il y a largement de quoi remplir une journée (et même plus à mon avis). Peut-être cibler les thèmes que l'on souhaite voir et s'y limiter pour ne pas risquer l'overdose. C'est à faire absolument !
