Description

Make the most of your stay and visit the Omani capital: Muscat! 

You will start your tour in the ministries district, where you will notably observe the diverse modern buildings, that still have a touch of Arab architecture. Then continue your guided visit exploring the Grand Sultan Qabus Mosque, a true architectural wonder and a major city structure.

After that, take a trip to the fish market and the Muttrah bazaar, which are full of charm and authentic flavours.

Finish off at the Bait Al Zubair museum, where you can enjoy an insight on Omani history and culture. Make your final stop at the Al Alam Palace (where Sultan Qaboos lives) and take a few pictures.

  • Availability: every day (except Fridays and exceptional cases)
  • Departure time and place: between 8am and 9am at your Muscat hotel, the exact time will be confirmed after booking

  • Concerning pick-up from your hotel : if you are more than ten minutes late, the driver reserves the right to leave so as not to delay other participants

  • The entrance to the Great Mosque of Muscat is not included. If you wish to visit it, you can pay the entrance fee directly on site.
  • The Bait Al Zubair Museum and the Great Mosque of Muscat are closed on Fridays

  • In the spirit of respect for local culture, it is forbidden to photograph Omani women
  • When visiting the Great Mosque of Muscat, and in the spirit of respect for local culture, it is compulsory to wear proper attire. No part of the body may be bare (legs, arms, feet, etc.) apart from the face and hands, for both men and women. It is also compulsory for women to cover their hair with a headscarf.
