Description

Departing from Tokyo, conquer Mount Fuji! 

Departing from your hotel, travel by bus to the foot of this Japanese giant. When you arrive at the Mount Fuji visitor's centre we will climb up the mountain by bus to Mt. Fuji’s 5th Station.

Mount Fuji is an active volcano, and is the highest point of Japan, 3,776 m above sea level. Called Fujisan by the Japanese and Fujiyama by westerners, Mount Fuji is the symbol of the Land of the Rising Sun. It was listed as a UNESCO world heritage site in 2013, sacred place and source of artistic inspiration.

After exploring the mountain, you will enjoy a Japanese style lunch (optional) before travelling to Kojiri by bus. Here we will get on a boat for a short cruise on Lake Ashi to enjoy impressive view of Mount Fuji from water. 

We will then take cable car from Mount Komaganetake to Hakone, to see the panoramic views from the top of this mountain.

When we return back to the bottom we will go to Odawara station to board the famous high speed train: Shinkansen, which takes us back to Tokyo.

  • A shuttle will come and collect you at the tour departure point at the time shown on your booking voucher.
  • If you are meeting the tour from the main departure point, please arrive 20 minutes before the start of the activity.
  • If you have chosen to be collected from your hotel for the tour, please arrive 10 minutes before the start of the activity.
  • We recommend that you wear comfortable clothes and shoes.
  • The temperature can fall quickly when climbing Mount Fuji, we recommend that you bring warm clothes in winter.
  • The English-speaking guide will accompany you from the departure of the tour in Hamamatsucho to the Odawara station
  • If requested at time of booking, a Chinese or Spanish audio guide will be provided for the visit to Mount Fuji.
  • The journey from Tokyo to Mount Fuji by bus takes approximately 2 hours.
  • The bus journey time may vary depending on traffic.
  • The lunch menu is not planned in advance and you will be informed of it on the day of your activity.

Information for your return by Shinkansen:

  • The Shinkansen ticket does not have a seat reservation.
  • The guide will not accompany you on the Shinkansen
  • The Shinkansen you will take is a Kodama type
  • The journey between Odawara and Tokyo by Shinkansen takes approximately 35 minutes.
  • The train will arrive at Tokyo station
  • You can get off at Shin Yokohama or Shinagawa if you like.
