Description

A stone’s throw from central Montreal, confront the agitated waters of Lachine Rapids!

Once equipped and ready, travel down the St Lawrence river for a thrilling descent of Lachine Rapids. Paddle your passage through the river’s most intense waves including Outécoutos, Louis Leap, Devil’s Door and thrilling Big John, after the famous captain. 

This activity is ideal to initiate both children and adults to adrenaline and fun-fueled water activities. At the end of your river passage, take advantage of the moment to take a dip in the river, giving you some more relaxing time to admire the surrounding landscape!

Good to know

  • Seasonal Activity: Available Monday to Sunday from early May to early September (excluding exceptional dates)
  • Departure point: LaSalle Rafting Club, 10 minutes from central Montreal
     
  • You will be taken back to the departure point at the end of the activity
  • This activity is not authorised for pregnant women or any person suffering from heart problems
  • Excursions take place on 4 boats with a 12-passenger capacity (including the instructor)
  • Footwear is obligatory during the excursion (sports shoes, sandals, crocs...). Wetsuits and sandals are available on-site
  • Please bring a swimming suit, a change of clothes and a towel
  • In case of rain, the excursion will still take place
