Explore the unique landscapes of the Philippines on a private 3-day tour of Banaue and Batad, two iconic UNESCO World Heritage sites!
Day 1: Manila to Banaue - overnight in Banaue
At 5:30 am, your driver will pick you up from your hotel or Manila airport for a 10-hour drive to the mountains. You'll pass through several provinces and towns, stopping for lunch at a local restaurant and a few breaks to enjoy the scenery.
In the afternoon, you'll discover the Banaue rice terraces, hand-carved over 2,000 years ago by the Ifugaos. These terraces, nicknamed the "Eighth Wonder of the World", cover 10,360 km² and rise to an altitude of 1,500 meters. After this visit, you'll return to your accommodation for a night's rest.
Day 2: Banaue, Bangaan, Batad - overnight in Batad
After breakfast overlooking the rice fields of Banaue, your local guide will be waiting for you with a private jeepney to explore the mountain villages. First stop: the Bangaan rice terraces, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Then on to Batad after a short hike offering a first glimpse of the village and its famous amphitheatric terraces.
At noon, a walk through the rice fields will take you to the Tappia waterfalls, where you can relax and take a dip. The return to the village along a different path offers you a breathtaking view of this unique landscape. In the evening, you'll enjoy a convivial moment around a campfire, with local stories.
Day 3: Batad, return to Banaue and Manila
You'll start the day by enjoying breakfast, followed by a short walk to your jeepney. You'll then join your private transport in Banaue to begin the journey back to Manila, with arrival at your hotel scheduled for around 5:30pm.
