Description

With your ticket, enjoy priority access without waiting at the Reina Sofia National Museum and Art Centre, one of the largest museums of modern and contemporary art in the world!

You will discover a collection mostly made up of works by the greatest Spanish painters of the 20th century, such as Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dalí, Joan Miró, but also other renowned artists such as Georges Braque, Fernand Léger, and Joaquim Torres Garcia. You will have the opportunity to explore various artistic movements ranging from Surrealism to Modernism, via Cubism.

Walk through the rooms of this huge, unusual building: classified as a historical and artistic monument since 1977, in the 16th century this neoclassical building was the Court's general hospital, before being transformed and enlarged by the architects Hermosilla and Sabatini in the 18th century to become the building as we know it today, subtly blending modernity with tradition.

Among the most significant works to discover is Picasso's impressive "Guernica", denouncing the civil war in Spain and the bombing of Guernica that took place on 27 April 1937.

You can also admire temporary exhibitions by international artists in the Velázquez and Crystal Palaces and stroll in the museum's interior garden to see sculptures by Miróand Calder.

Don't miss a visit to one of Spain's largest collections of modern and contemporary art!
