You'll enjoy a transfer from your accommodation in Funchal or Caniço, and head for the island's south-west. This coastline, still authentic and unspoilt, is also the hottest part of Madeira. You'll make two initial stops at Campanário then Ponta do Sol. Ponta do Sol, which means "Point of the Sun", is Madeira's sunniest town. You'll be heading for a high plateau that rises to an altitude of 1,500 metres, where you'll enjoy panoramic views and lush green roads. You'll enjoy a lunch break in Prazeres (not included in the price), a small village renowned for its flower-filled houses and friendly locals. After lunch, your driver-guide will take you to the various villages surrounding Prazeres, where you will see authentic houses, banana and sugar cane fields and fishing villages. You will be taken back to your accommodation after a day on Madeira's most unspoilt coast.
