The Phantom of the Opera is an adaptation of Gaston Leroux's novel, recounting events said to have taken place at the Garnier Opera House in Paris.

  • The story:

In the sumptuous palace of the Opéra Garnier in Paris, a mysterious masked figure, nicknamed Le Fantôme, haunts the backstage area. He causes a series of strange phenomena, forcing the diva to give up performing. And so, the beautiful Christine enters the stage to take her place. The Phantom of the Opera falls madly in love with her, but soon realizes that she loves another.

The Phantom of the Opera musical takes place at the prestigious Her Majesty's Theatre, the historic venue where the very first performance of this play took place, in 1986.
