Set off on a medieval excursion to the Templar region in the Santarem district!
Starting from Lisbon, you'll begin your excursion with the guided tour of the Château d'Almourol, erected in 1171, right in the center of Portugal, built in the middle of the Tagus River. This medieval castle served as a fortress for the Knights Templar during the Reconquista period.
The tour will continue in Tomar, you'll discover its historic center and enjoy a lunch break(not included), you'll also taste a local pastry. In the early afternoon, you'll visit the church of Santa Maria do Olival, the headquarters of the Knights Templar and pantheon of all the masters.
Finally, you'll end your excursion with a guided tour of the Convent of Christ, a stronghold for the Knights Templar, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
You'll be reconducted to the center of Lisbon, Place de Restauradores or Place Marquês de Pombal, after a full day's excursion.
