Description

Set off on a nature-filled day between forests, caves, and hot springs on a tour to Tahune Airwalk and Hastings Caves from Hobart!

You will be picked up from your hotel in Hobart or meet at the central meeting point before heading south through Tasmania. You will travel through the Huon Valley, known for its orchards and lush landscapes, on your way to the Southern Forests.

Your first stop will be Tahune Adventures, a natural site ideal for bushwalks. You will walk along the Tahune Airwalk, a suspended walkway 40 metres above the ground offering panoramic views over the forest canopy. You may also join the guided Swinging Bridges walk, crossing a suspension bridge 100 metres above the Huon River. For a more relaxed option, you can enjoy a riverside walk among ancient Huon pine trees.

You will then continue to Hastings Caves State Reserve, where you will have free time for lunch, a swim in the 28°C thermal pool, and a walk along the Hot Springs Nature Trail. You will then go underground to visit Newdegate Cave, Tasmania’s most famous cave. Accompanied by a park guide, you will explore this vast chamber located 40 metres below ground, decorated with stalactites, stalagmites, and flowstone formations created millions of years ago.

On the return journey to Hobart, stops may be made at roadside stalls depending on the season.
