Description

Discover the Hills of Tara, Trim Castle, Loughcrew, Fore Distillery and Fore Abbey on a day trip from Dublin!

After meeting your driver guide in the early morning on Suffolk Street, you'll reach the hills of Tara, sacred site of the ancient kings of Ireland. Here you can admire the panoramic view of the Irish countryside accompanied by your driver guide.

You'll then head to the old town of Trim, where you'll catch a glimpse of Trim Castle, Ireland's largest Anglo-Norman castle and its three-storey keep (entrance not included). You'll have time to explore its extensive gardens.

Next, you'll head to Loughcrew, made up of some 30 tombs carved in stone dating back 5,000 years. You'll learn more from your guide's commentary.

You'll continue your journey to the Fore distillery where you'll discover the secrets of local artisan distilling. It will also be possible to have lunch on site (meal not included).

After your lunch break, you'll have the opportunity to discover the Fore Abbey, accompanied by your guide. Founded by Saint Fechin in the 7th century, this site is famous for its seven wonders, including the water that flows uphill and the tree that doesn't burn.

Finally, you'll hit the road again at the end of the day back to Dublin.
