Your day will be organized as follows:
1) Guided tour of Cape Town
First you will tour Cape Town's city centre and explore the following sites:
- Castle of Good Hope: The oldest existing colonial building in South Africa (built in 1666)
- City Hall: A Baroque style building constructed in 1905
- St. George's Cathedral: The diocese of Archbishop Desmond Tutu (winner of the Nobel Peace Prize in 1984)
- Company’s Garden: A green oasis in the middle of the city
- "Bo-Kaap", the Malay quarter: One of Cape Town's Muslim quarters where the first mosque in the city was built
2) Access to the summit of Table Mountain
After your tour of the city centre, you will head to the base of Table Mountain, the amazing mountain overlooking the city of Cape Town. You will then take a cable car (ticket approximately 215 ZAR / $20 extra, payable on the day) up to the summit at more than 1,000 metres above sea level. From there you can enjoy a stunning view of the city and discover the lush flora of the peak.
Time permitting, you can also take the road around Table Bay for a wonderful view of the mountain and the city.
At the end of the day you will be driven back to Cape Town's city centre.
