Description

Plunged into the sea inside a cage, live a unique experience where you will face one of the most terrifying marine predators: the great white shark! You will experience goosebumps and strong emotions!

In Gansbaai, a small fishing village located on the Garden Route, meet with the team that will accompany you during this sensational experience. You will receive explanations and the necessary instructions for a smooth experience during the activity while enjoying a breakfast meal.

You will then set out to sea for approximately 2 hours off of Gansbaai. Onboard, the marine biologist will give you information and advice in order to better understand the behavior of the celebrated great white shark. During the water excursion, you will also have the chance to see whales, dolphins, seals and a number of marine birds.

After having travelled along the beautiful creeks, you will arrive at “shark Alley”, a zone famous worldwide for diving with great whites. You will first be able to admire these creatures from the boat deck before entering a cave and finding yourself face to face with several great white sharks!

On the way back to port, you can admire the Bay of Gansbaai full of caves and astonishing limestone formations. Once back at the port, share your feelings and questions with the biologist and the other participants around a bowl of soup and slices of bread. Following this chat, if you so wish, you can also freely visit the African penguins and marine birds reserve in order to admire them from up close.
