Set off in a small group with a guide to discover the archaeological sites of Tulum and Coba, and bathe in a Cenote!
Early in the morning, you'll visit the archaeological site of Tulum. The ancient Mayan city of Tulum is situated on cliffs overlooking the Caribbean Sea. This fortified city was one of the few Mayan cities that the Spanish found inhabited when they arrived in South America. At the end of the tour, you'll be treated to a chocolate tasting. Did you know? Derived from the Nahuatl word (the Aztec language) "xocolatl", chocolate is native to Mexico!
Your second stop will be the archaeological site of Cobá, located inland some 40 km from Tulum and 105 km from Playa del Carmen. This ancient Mayan city, the most powerful in northern Yucatán and rival to Chichen Itza, occupies an immense territory of 70 km2. The presence of five lakes and lagoons nearby certainly favoured its development. Most of the site is still buried in the forest, with only the pyramids exposed. You'll admire the impressive Nohoch Mul temple, the highest pyramid on the peninsula at 42 metres. To whet your appetite, the tour will be followed by a Tequila tasting.
Continue your adventure with a swim in a sacred Cenote, exploring the crystal-clear waters. Admire the rock formations, illuminated by natural light, revealing the hidden wonders of the underground world. End this unforgettable day with a delicious buffet lunch, savoring the rich, authentic flavors of Mexican cuisine.
