Discover the volcanic landscapes of the Teide National Park and admire the view at 3555 meters above sea level from the cable car!
Departing from either the north or south coast of the island, this half-day excursion will take you on a journey of discovery of the Teide National Park. Located right in the center of the island of Tenerife, it was declared National Park in 1954 and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2007.
Accompanied by an official guide, as you climb towards Teide, you'll discover Tenerife's highly diverse landscapes along the way: After the towns on the coast, the typical villages on the heights, a vast pine forest, then increasingly arid volcanic landscapes.
Your guide will tell you more about the different volcanoes and the most recent eruptions on Tenerife, as well as the history of the formation of the Canary Islands.
At the foot of the Teide volcano, you take the cable car up to the top station at 3555 meters above sea level. From here, you can enjoy superb views of the whole island of Tenerife, as well as the neighboring islands of La Gomera, El Hierro and La Palma (depending on the day's weather). You'll have an hour of free time, during which you can, for example, enjoy a view of the Siete Cañadas and the Ucanca Valley from the Mirador de La Rambleta; hike the La Fortaleza trail for a view of the north of the island; or set off on the Mirador Del Pico Viejo trail to catch a glimpse of the south of the island, with the imposing crater (800m in diameter) of the Pico Viejo volcano at your feet.
After the cable car descent, you'll be taken back to your starting point.
