Enjoy a sailing cruise to Green Island and the Great Barrier Reef from Cairns and spend a full day snorkeling, relaxing, and discovering stunning marine landscapes!
You will be picked up from your hotel in Cairns and transferred to the Reef Fleet Terminal at Marlin Marina for check-in. You will then board Ocean Free, a 16-metre sailing schooner, carrying a maximum of 25 guests to ensure comfort and a personalised experience.
On board, you will enjoy fresh fruit, a Danish pastry, and tea or coffee before departing at 8:00am for Pinnacle Reef, located just 1 km off Green Island. This protected Marine Park site, closed to fishing, is home to a rich diversity of corals and tropical fish.
Upon arrival, you will step straight into a coral garden to swim and snorkel. The experienced crew will offer guided snorkelling tours and provide insights into the reef ecosystem through an informative reef talk by a marine interpreter. You may also choose to go scuba diving (additional cost) or simply relax on board.
A generous buffet lunch including seafood will be served on board. Throughout the day, small boat transfers will allow you to reach Green Island to explore the rainforest walking tracks or relax on the beach. You will be free to divide your time between the reef and the island as you wish.
After approximately 4.5 hours at the reef and island, you will sail back to Cairns. During the return journey, snacks and a glass of wine will be served before you are transferred back to your hotel.
