Description

Jump into the water and explore the depths of the Great Barrier Reef!

Departing from Cairns, you will head off to the bird reserve of Michaelmas Cay. Explore its preserved waters and relax for a while on the beach.

After lunch, you will head to Paradise Reef. The clear waters of this 25-metre deep coral reef offer the ideal setting to dive down and meet the local fish and other marine animals.

You will go back to Cairns in the late afternoon.

Options

When you book, you will be asked to choose your package:

  • Snorkelling
  • Snorkelling + scuba diving “baptism”
  • Snorkelling + scuba diving (experienced diver): 1 dive

Good to know

  • Availability: every day (excluding exceptional dates)
  • Time: 8am
  • Departure point: your hotel in Cairns or Fleet Reef Terminal
  • Duration: 9 hrs. approx.
  • Language: English
  • This activity is not suitable for people who cannot swim
  • Children under 12 years of age are not allowed to dive
  • Pick-up at Cairns hotels will begin at 7:15am
  • If you choose to go straight to the marina, please arrive at 7:30am
  • You will be asked for a medical certificate of ability to dive dated less than a year ago or, failing that, to complete a medical questionnaire for the local service provider upon arrival
  • For minors, a parental permission form must be filled in by a legal guardian before the start of the activity
  • The local service provider reserves the right to cancel this activity in the event of adverse weather conditions. In this case, an alternative date or a refund will be offered
