Upolu Cay and Great Barrier Reef cruise with snorkeling - From Cairns

Set off on a cruise to the Great Barrier Reef and discover Upolu Cay and its reefs on a full day of snorkeling from Cairns!

You will be picked up from your hotel in Cairns before heading to the marina to board a fast and comfortable catamaran. After a welcome with tea, coffee, and pastries, you will set sail towards the Great Barrier Reef.

Thanks to the vessel’s speed, you will quickly reach your first destination, Upolu Cay Reef, a shallow reef with crystal-clear waters. You will be able to snorkel, observe corals and tropical fish, or relax on the sand cay when conditions allow.

You will take part in guided activities such as snorkelling tours and a glass-bottom boat experience led by an English-speaking marine biologist, who will explain the reef ecosystem.

After several hours of activities, you will enjoy a buffet lunch on board before heading to your second site, Outer Edge Upolu Reef. You will discover the famous “Wonder Wall,” known for its rich marine life. You may also join a guided drift snorkelling tour to further explore the underwater world.

You will have a total of approximately 6 hours on the reef to swim, observe marine life, or relax on board. On the return journey, platters of fresh fruit, cheese, and snacks will be served.

You will then be transferred back to your hotel in the late afternoon.
