You'll meet your guide at Bucharest's National Theater, next to the statues, in the early evening. In a small group, you'll set off to discover the sites marked by the Romanian capital's most mysterious events.
As the tour progresses, you'll explore places where strange phenomena are said to have been observed. Your guide will tell you stories of tragic deaths, unsolved murders and miscellaneous events that continue to fuel local legends. You'll also learn more about Romanian traditions designed to protect against malevolent spirits, still practiced today.
You'll discuss the legacy of Dracula, an inescapable figure associated with Romania, and discover how his myth continues to haunt Bucharest. Your guide will also reveal the astonishing story of a very real vampire who is said to have terrorized the city in the 1970s, adding a contemporary dimension to the supernatural tales.
Throughout this evening walk of around 2h30, you'll stroll the streets of the city center and observe several buildings reputed to be haunted. While you'll visit many of the outdoor sites linked to these stories, you won't go inside any of the haunted houses or buildings.
This guided tour will allow you to discover Bucharest from an original and little-known angle, between history, folklore and urban legends. The tour will end in the heart of downtown, close to the starting point.
