Book your ticket for Parc Güell and admire the remarkable works of Gaudi!
You'll explore Park Güell, one of architect Antoni Gaudí's masterpieces. This emblematic park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a veritable open-air museum where you can admire colorful mosaics, sculptures and fascinating structures inspired by nature. The park has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1984. The area is fragile and is therefore subject to visitor restrictions to optimize the conservation of the site.
It was the industrialist Eusebi Güell who entrusted the project to Gaudi in 1900, with the idea of a residential park based on the English model. The park opened to the public in 1926 and was an immediate success: first with the Catalan population, then with the whole world.
Don't miss the famous ceramic salamander and the panoramic views over the city from the large esplanade! From the main entrance at the bottom of the park, you'll also notice the dragon staircase leading you on to the architecturally distinctive Hypostyle Hall. You'll be fascinated by the hall, which features 86 columns, each with a different inclination.
