  • Duration: 7 hrs. approx., 4 hrs. spent hiking
  • Departure point: your hotel in Banff or Lake Louise

  • Departure from Banff is at 8:30am. Departure from Lake Louise Shopping Center 9am (available Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Friday). Departure from Château Lake Louise 9:15am (available Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Friday).
  • The route and difficulty of the hike varies according to the day of the week.
  • On Sunday, the hike takes place at Lake Agnes: the difficulty is moderate, the hike lasts 4 hours, the distance covered is 7km/4.5 miles and the ascent is 367 metres/1,204 feet.
  • On Wednesday and Friday, the hike takes place at the Plain of Six Glaciers: the difficulty is easy to moderate, the hike lasts 4 hours, the distance covered is 10.6km/6.6 miles and the ascent is 340 metres/1,100 feet.
  • On Tuesday and Thursday, the hike takes place at Stanley Glacier: the difficulty is easy, the hike lasts 3–4 hours, the distance covered is 8.4km/5.25 miles and the ascent is 395 metres/1,285 feet.
  • On Monday and Saturday, the hike takes place in the Larch Valley: the difficulty is moderate, the hike lasts 4–5 hours, the distance covered is 9km/5.6 miles and the ascent is 465 metres/1,500 feet.
  •  Don’t forget to wrap up warm and wear a hat, gloves, a rain poncho and appropriate shoes
