Get close to the edge with an amazing walk at the top of the Auckland Sky Tower!

First journey to the top of the tower to take in the views across the entire city. Once fully kitted out (overalls and safety tethers), go for a walk around the narrow walkway only 1.2m (4ft) wide! Walk completely round the tower and enjoy exceptional views over Auckland and its bay. The walk is 192 m (630 ft) above the ground, hang over the edge and see if you can handle the vertigo!

After the tour, participants have free entry to return to the top of the Sky Tower and can admire the sunset.

  • Availability: every day (except in exceptional circumstances)
  • Duration: Approximately 1 hour 15 mins
  • Opening hours and frequency: 10:00am to 4:30pm, departures approximately every 20 minutes. Simply arrive at a time of your choosing and wait for the next departure to take part in an activity (operates on a first-come-first-served basis). If we expect a large crowd, we will contact you directly, once you have made your reservation, to indicate a precise time to participate in the activity)
  • To take part in this activity simply present your booking voucher to the local tour operator
  • For reasons of comfort and safety you must wear closed toes shoes during the 360° walk.
  • Note: the maximum allowed weight for a jump is 130 kg (287 pounds). Participants must be over 10 years of age.
  • In exceptional weather conditions winds can reach over 45 km/h (28mph). Under such conditions the minimum weight restriction for participants is 45kg (99 pounds).
  • You can use your ticket to go back up the Sky Tower after your walk (entry ticket must be used during the same day)
  • Pregnant women are unable to take part in this activity
  • We advise people with heart problems to consult their physician before booking this activity

  • Entry to the top of the Sky Tower with a 360° walk around the outside of the observation deck

  • Second entry to the top of the Sky Tower (to be used on the same day as the walk)
