Description

Set out to explore the Acropolis of Athens in the late afternoon and learn about Greek myths and heroes!

You'll meet your professional guide near the Acropolis in the late afternoon and begin the archaeological site tour, away from the crowds and scorching summer heat.

You'll tour one of the world's most iconic UNESCO World Heritage Sites and learn how so many Greek legends and myths are still embedded in contemporary times.
You'll gaze upon the Acropolis, the Theatre of Dionysus, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Erechteion, the Propylaea and the magnificent Parthenon, a universal symbol of democracy and the civilised world.

This tour will take you back in time and explain how Athens became one of the major cities of the ancient world and an emblem of Western civilization.

  • Availability: every day from April to October, except May 1st and Easter Sunday
  • Times: 2:45pm in April & October and 5pm pm from May to September
  • Departs from: ACROPOLIS metro station  (details on your voucher) 
  • When booking, you will have the option of choosing the activity with or without the entrance ticket to the Acropolis. 
    If you choose the "entrance ticket not included" option, please note that it is essential that you buy tickets for the archaeological sites in advance, as availability is very limited. Make sure you book the right time slot. The visit will not be refunded if you forget or make a mistake.
  • Access to the Acropolis is free: for everyone on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month between November and March // Every day for European Union citizens under 25 // Every day for nationals from non-EU countries under 18 years old  (valid identity card or passport to be presented)
  • Access to the Accropole is free for all on March 3,  March 6, April 18, September 28 and 29, October 28, November 3 and December 1. Reservation is therefore not necessary.
  • Strollers  and Backpacks are not allowed on the Acropolis
