Experience a unique cultural evening in the heart of Athens, at the Dora Stratou Theater, to discover traditional Greek dances!
Come and enjoy an open-air show, perched on Philopappou Hill facing the Athens Acropolis, in a theater designed to evoke the village square (plateia).
For an hour and a half (and no intermission), a troupe of 75 dancers, musicians and singers will perform traditional dances from the various Greek regions: islands, villages, provinces, with their authentic costumes, music and songs. Costumes are a central part of the show: the ensemble includes over 2,000 original folkloric pieces, jewelry and embroidery included.
The program changes every two weeks, to offer a variety of regional dances throughout the season.
You'll immerse yourself in traditional Greek culture, through a lively show, with scenography designed to enhance the authenticity of folklore.
