Description

Learn about Greek myths and heroes while discovering Athens!

The tour begins near the Temple of Olympian Zeus, where Greek mythology was born. From there, the guide will take you to the Theatre of Dionysus, and then on to the Acropolis, where visitors can see many temples as well as the famous Parthenon.

It is here that the ancient myths that many know so well came to life: The birth of Dionysus, God of wine; the death of Athena; and many more. Learn about the historical reality that hides behind these myths, and why they were invented by the ancient Greeks.

The tour will continue through the ancient Agora. Considered to be the cradle of democracy, philosophers such as Socrates came here to discus their ideas on everything. Visitors will also have a chance to visit the Temple of Hephaestus, which is the best preserved temple in all of Greece.

Along the tour, the guide will also explain how the city of Athens came to be as well as how it rose to be one of the most important cities in the ancient world.

After the tour, the gods of Olympus will no longer hold any secrets for you!
