Description

Visit the panhellenic sanctuary of Delphi and the site of the Méores and spend the night in the small town of Kalambaka on a two-day guided bus tour.

You'll start your tour from your hôtel à Athènes d'où you'll be picked up by bus. On the first day, you'll travel to the Panhellenic sanctuary of Delphi in a comfortable bus, passing through the towns of Livadi and Arachova. Once there, you'll explore the sanctuary, located at the foot of Mount Parnassus and boasting spectacular views of the Phaeacutes, two immense cliffs.

Accompanied by your guide, you'll discover the Temple of Apollo, where the Oracle of Delphi, also known as the Oracle of Apollo, spoke. Learn more about this one, considered the most famous of all oracles, and one of the most reliable in ancient Greece. You will then visit the sanctuary's archaeological site.

You will then travel to Kalambaka, in the Thessaly region. You'll have a quick tour of the town, followed by dinner and an overnight stay at the hotel. On the second day, you'll discover the météores, a geological formation housing Orthodox Christian monasteries. In modern Greek, Météore” means “suspended in heaven”. In ancient times, the only way for monks to reach these monasteries was in baskets suspended from pulleys. The site is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
