Explore the city of Arequipa and the Santa Catalina Monastery with this guided tour!
You'll leave your hotel in the early afternoon with your guide and set off to visit a city classified by UNESCO as a cultural heritage of humanity.
You'll go to the colonial district of San Lazaro, where the city was founded and the source of Arequipa's nickname: the White City. You'll be able to admire the white volcanic stone used to construct Arequipa's buildings.
You'll then leave in the direction of the Plaza de Armas where you'll see one of the most beautiful religious buildings in Peru: the Cathedral of Arequipa.
Afterwards, you'll head to Santa Catalina Monastery, a 20,000 m² city within a city in the heart of Arequipa. Founded by the Dominicans in September 1579, you'll be impressed by the beauty of its architecture.
You'll then visit the neighbourhoods of Yanahuara and Carmen Alto, which have panoramic views of Arequipa's surroundings and volcanoes including El Misti, Pichu Pichu and Chachani.
You will be taken back to your hotel at the end of your guided tour.
