Accompanied by your private guide, you will discover Amman's historic centre and its most modern districts. This tour will be an opportunity to discover the different faces of the city, which has managed to preserve its heritage dating back several millennia, while adapting to the modern world. You will explore its remains, ruins, traditional markets and upmarket districts. 

Accompanied by your private guide, you will explore the Roman, Byzantine and early Islamic remains. 

On the programme, you will discover:

  • King Abdullah Mosque, famous for its blue mosaic dome
  • the Jordanian Parliament building
  • the Amman Orthodox Church
  • Amman Citadel, in which you will find a collection of antiquities and the Temple of Hercules
  • The posh neighbourhoods of "Abdul" and "Sweifieh"
  • And many more. 

As a bonus, if you wish, you can enjoy a local lunch, a hammam session, or a visit to the Jordan Museum and the Royal Automobile Museum (optional extras).

Finally, you can choose to end your tour by being driven back to your hotel or to one of the shopping malls on your tour, such as the Galleria or the Taj Mall, or to Abdali Boulevard.

  • Departure time and place: 9 am, at your hotel in Amman. The exact time and location will be confirmed after booking.
  • Please note that the King Abdullah Mosque is closed to the public on Fridays and the Jordan Museum and Royal Automobile Museum are closed on Tuesdays. 
  • Please note that proper dress is required within the mosques. Men should wear trousers that cover their knees. Women must cover their arms, legs and have a head covering.
