The first UNESCO World Heritage site in Saudi Arabia, Hegra, also known as Mada'in Saleh, is the largest remains of the Nabataean civilisation south of Petra in Jordan. There are more than 100 tombs carved into the immense rock formations, which you can admire up close. Most have decorated façades. The site also contains around fifty inscriptions dating from the pre-Nabatean period. Accompanied by your guide, you'll learn more about the history of this archaeological site and of Saudi Arabia.
