Description

Enjoy a 13km commentated trip around the vineyards and discover the charm of Puyloubier!

Mylène is a guide-lecturer who was born in Aix-en-Provence. She studied archaeology and history of art and has worked for museums as well as archaeological sites. Given her love of her region, it's no surprise that the idea came to her of helping others discover the heritage of Aix-en-Provence by going off the beaten track.

Mylène offers you a tour through the Puyloubier vineyards. The 13km trip takes place in the magnificent setting of the Sainte-Victoire Mountain. Your guide will explain to you how the job of the wine growers differs depending on the season, the different varieties of grapes grown in Aix-en-Provence as well as how the mountain came to be called Sainte-Victoire.

Your day with Mylène will be organized as follows:

10am: Set off for an 8km commentated walk.

1pm: Arrive at the estate of the Institution de la Légion Etrangère. You may have a picnic in the park under the shade of the plane trees or enjoy a refreshment at the “La Popote” bar

2pm: Visit the Captain Danjou estate and the Musée de l’Uniforme.

3pm: Continue your guided trip with Mylène for another 5km.

4:30pm: Walk through Puyloubier, one of Provence's most beautiful villages with its medieval streets and ancient 17th-century oil mill, where you will learn all about the secrets of how olive oil is made.

5pm: Go to the Tourist Office where you will receive validation of the kilometres you have walked as well as a small souvenir of the tour.

5:15pm: Wine tasting in the wine cellar at Vignerons du Mont Sainte-Victoire, where your day will end.
